This hostel was really really nice, the rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious, and the kitchen was the biggest and nicest I've seen in a hostel. Great breakfast every day and the staff was very helpful. It's not super close to the city center and it's up a giant hill, but I would definitely recommend it.

Do not expect too much. You 'sail' for one hour to a place.They trow out the ancre and you can eat. Enhough shrimp for everybody, no complaints about that! Afterward you just sail basically the same way back only a slight detour past the opera house which is nice...
Only make this trip in good weather otherwise it is no fun at all!!

Not sure of the value of this trip versus the city ferry service. It's not a functioning sail boat, and the tour is not that much different than what the city ferry service offers except that you can get food/drink available on board. I didn't take one of the evening musical tours, which may be better value. The staff on board are very nice and helpful. They get a thumbs up from me.

A fantastic guided tour! It was very well organized and the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The free time we got allowed us to customize the tour to our liking (as well as get a little rest). To be able to see Oslo from the water as well as the land made this a very special experience. In a relatively short time I feel that we saw many of the highlights of Oslo - and it was at a relaxed pace.

Tross en kald og lei vind hadde vi en fin tur. Det at båten er delvis overbygd og ikke var fullbooket gjorde at vi kunne velge om vi ville sitte inne eller ute. Gode pledd hjalp også på.
Guiden var hyggelig og ga gode kommentarer langs turen uten å virke påtrengende. Vi fikk god tid til å bare nyte turen.

Hi,
This is with reference to the Grand Tour of Oslo that I and my 2 friends took on 27 May, 2012.
I just felt that the Oslo Fjords Sightseeing was not worth for 2 hrs. A majority of these were private islands. Appreciate, if time for this is reduced and more time is given at the Ski Jump (esp, Simulator) and Viking Skulpture Park.
But, otherwise, the visit to the Museums and other places is good.

If you have a short amount of time to visit the main items of interest in Oslo this is a good way to go. The tour provides you with a good over view of the city.

Anlässlich einer 2 1/2 Tage-Städtereise buchte ich die Grand Tour Oslo- eine kombinierte Boots-/ und Bus-Tour durch das gesamte Stadtgebiet von Oslo. Dadurch erhielt ich einen großartigen Überblick über die Geschichte Norwegens und das aktuelle Stadtbild.Die junge Resieführerin erklärte alles auf eine gut verständliche und charmante Weise in Englisch.
Ich bin 100% ig zufrieden.

We had a nice overview of how life on those little islands can be with this 2 hour boat trip (fjord trip). Luckily the whether was pretty nice. The girls giving explanations were kind.
We were a little disappointed when visiting Oslo city because of its general architecture : this boat tour remains then one of our best visit: This part of Oslo directed to the sea & its islands is a must-see !

The Grand Tour offers many highlights of Oslo, however, time is very short. The boat trip is nice but too long which means that there is not so much time left for the museums. I would recommend to shorten the boat trip so that more time is available for the cultural part. The guide Max was very friendly and highly motivated. The pick-up service from the hotel however did not work - we finally had to walk to the harbour because the promised bus did not come.

Enjoyed the trip around the Oslofjord Islands.
Suggest, given the extreme cold, it would have been nice to offer free hot beverages to those who braved the journey! Tourists have a hard enough time with the expense of Norway as it is! :-)

Jeg bestilte billettene til noen tyske venner som ikke snakket hverken norsk eller engelsk. Da guiden la merke til at vennene mine kun snakket tysk, forklarte hun alt til dem på tysk og det satte de veldig pris på!

La magie du fjord d Oslo , sous un ciel typiquement scandinave , du soleil , des nuages , un crachin , une lumière splendide que l'on retrouve dans certain tableaux nordiques . Magnifique pour le corps et l'esprit !!!
Au sujet du bateau ,ponctualité scandinave, petit ( ça bouge ) bateau très très sympa tout en bois , une ambiance marine bien entretenue par la jeune guide très attentive , souriante , un service à bord parfait et intéressante dans ses commentaires en direct tout au long du périple. Le confort avec en plus comme souvent en Norvège une mise à disposition de couverture polaire pas superflu du tout ....en Septembre. Je recommande , très bon produit . ( même pas malade)

It was a nice trip, the time is about 2 hours and you have the opportunity to see the islands in front of the Oslo port. It's possible to see sea houses of norwegian people, that are really different from the sea houses here in italy. i think it's good to have this trip and then take the other boat that brings you to the islands.
